National Flood Services, Inc. (NFS) functions as an insurance management organization servicing the insurance industry to support the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Insurance Company clients refer to NFS as a “third party administrator” while the Federal Agencies refer to us as a “Vendor”. NFS actually operates as the “Flood Department” for a number of insurance companies participating in the federally sponsored NFIP “Write Your Own” (WYO) Program.

NFS was founded in 1985 in Chicago, Illinois to capture the opportunity to service the newly formed WYO Program as a Federally Approved Vendor. The Company moved to Kalispell, Montana in 1986. NFS has now been a provider of flood insurance service to the Property & Casualty Insurance Industry for over a decade with excellent annual growth.

NFS currently services some 25 Property & Casualty Insurance Companies with over 16,000 insurance agencies, brokers, and financial institutions currently producing flood insurance business all across the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam & the Virgin Islands.

Since inception, NFS has specialized in servicing all aspects of flood insurance with our primary focus in two areas:

• To provide insurance companies the ability to offer flood insurance to their agency force.
  
• Develop and maintain systems and personnel to facilitate processing flood insurance policies, comply with FIA/NFIP statistical reporting requirements, and supply NFS Customer Service Representatives with instantaneous access to agency and underwriting information.

The most distinguishing feature of NFS is the fact that we are an “insurance management organization” versus a “computer service” operation. Staffed by experienced insurance professionals with various agency and company backgrounds, we bring a unique level of service to the flood insurance industry. NFS is not owned by or affiliated with any one insurance company. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Fiserv, Inc.

Our nationwide Service Center is located in Kalispell, Montana. This location provides company, agency and policy holder services to all of our clients. We also maintain a processing facility in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

We are quite pleased that our annual growth in terms of client relationships, policy growth and premium revenues has consistently outpaced insurance industry averages. This has required us to continually expand our facilities, staff, and to upgrade our information systems technology and claims processing capabilities.
